DESIGN IDEAS

i-Tree Design is a website tool that gives a simple starting point for understanding the value of an individual tree to the community. By inputting location, species, tree size and condition, users will receive an understanding of tree benefits related to greenhouse gas mitigation, air quality improvements and storm water interception.

Reach out for help if you have unanswered questions. Good references include the organization “Wild Ones” or the National Wildlife Federation, that has a program certifying landscapes which embrace sustainable design and maintenance. Or consult a native plant society or DNR chapter in your area.
